A creative thinker with an inquisitive mind, who takes an alternative perspective to problem solving briefs. By questioning and evolving well-established methods of working; a greater bond between brands and their consumers is achieved. With both clients and the team, a genuine dialogue is nurtured that truly instigates a common goal to continually transform brands in-line with their ever-changing consumers.  

 

Never looking to simply satisfy the brief; all aspects of the sector are explored to achieve that ‘real difference’.

With over a decades experience evolving new ideas and concepts in the field of creative, design and art direction . Successfully implementing design strategies, activation, branding, product packaging, UX and trend insights; for world-renowned brands like Google, Facebook, Ray Ban, Samsung, PepsiCo, Spotify, Hugo Boss, NowTV, Farfetch Gucci, Mondelēz, William Grant & Sons, BlackBerry, Nokia and more.

In my spare time, I can be found continually problem solving, to keep my 1977 Porsche 911 on the road!

01/EMPLOYMENT

AUGUST 2020 - MARCH 2021/STINK STUDIOS/FREELANCE DESIGN DIRECTOR - Involved in various campaigns and projects for clients like NowTV, Farfetch Gucci and Burberry.

JULY 2018 - onwards/MULLENLOWE SALT/FREELANCE DESIGNER DIRECTOR- Working on brand design direction PR campaign assets for William Grant & Sons, Dove, Cocoa Life, Milka, Mondelez, Art Fund, Unisys and Roche. Working with the Design Director to support  project briefs and directing the creative output.

MAY 2018 - onwards/STINK STUDIOS/FREELANCE DESIGN DIRECTOR - Involved in various brand, campaign strategy, advertising and UX projects for clients like Google, Facebook, 3, Samsung, Spotify and Ray Ban, to mention a few.  Managing many of the project briefs and creative outputs, which involved client meetings and directing in-house designers.


AUGUST 2017/FUTUREBRAND/FREELANCE SENIOR CREATIVE - Working on future brand development and direction to support design strategies for their clients.


JUNE 2017 - JULY 2017/TRUE STORY/FREELANCE SENIOR CREATIVE - Working across the Boots Christmas campaign; building, developing and delivering brand experiences and communications. Working closely with the creative director and creative leads, on campaign art direction, consumer retail navigational journey/experience and in-store POS concepts.


AUGUST 2016 - MAY 2017/HOTEL CHOCOLAT/FREELANCE SENIOR CREATIVE - Looking at the company’s entire design structure and creating ‘agency-style’ work practises. Worked on multiple campaign concepts, photography art direction, window concept designs, direct marketing, packaging and retail design.


JULY 2006 - APRIL 2016/SABOTAGEPKG/CREATIVE DIRECTOR, GRAPHICS - Undertaking the company’s creative vision, overseeing client projects and creative direction.  The job entailed managing in-house designers, external suppliers and liaising with clients.  Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and insights to tackle projects with effective design strategies.


JUNE 2015/UNILEVER/EXTERNAL DESIGN CONSULTANT - Chosen as part of a team of experts to support their workshop, to explore new directions for the Surf brand.  Working alongside brand managers from around the World; an intense week-long session of brainstorming, brand diversification and developing ideas was undertaken.


APRIL - OCTOBER 2015/M&S/EXTERNAL DESIGN CONSULTANT - Conceptual graphic design, campaign, POS, in-store retail design and consumer experience.
